Anna’s Toy Depot is a unique toy store that carries tons of new and USED toys. I started buying second hand toys 20 years ago. I noticed that kids outgrew many of their toys long before they were worn out, so I began buying these toys and supplying daycare centers with them. Because of the high demand for used toys, I opened my store to the public. Now anyone can walk into our store and glean through the shelves of puzzles, children’s books, play food and kitchens, puppets, dolls, toddler toys, videos, Thomas the Tank toys, play animals, Legos, Duplos, wooden blocks, action figures, Barbies, educational toys. June 16th, 2009So apparently to blog is to commit. Do you find this? It’s new..but I’m game. I am trying to get permission to post a really nice list of the symbolic meaning of toys for play therapy toys and sand tray toys and sand tray figures. It is really interesting and gives insight to all types of play. Meanwhile, in the used toys department, I just got in a ton of more used legos. Many of the lego people look like they are star wars lego people. Give me a day to sort them…I have many many bags of used lego in bulk bags on the shelf now! June 4th, 2009Okay most of the Star Wars Lego has sold..perhaps 6 sets left..but I have stacks and boxes of Star Wars figures, sets and micro machines…all in the packages. I have about 8-10 bags of lego people..the 4 figures for 4.00 bags. I got in a new in-the-box Melissa and Doug dollhouse selling for 75.00 (retail 120-135.00). Anybody interested in really clean, high quality children’s books should come in before I close for 3 weeks in July. I will exhibit at the Texas Baptist Church Weekday Education Association conference in Richardson while I’m closed and I take almost exclusively books to sell. It’s a really fun conference to sell at…and it has been held in Waco for years and years. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the set up in Richardson is good. I’m looking forward to the change of venue..eventhough the Baylor campus is beautiful. I will miss it.

May 30th, 2009Today I have TONS and TONs of Lego figures, Micro Machines, and Star Wars Lego Sets in the store…ALL in the Packages..UNOPENED! All of the lego star wars sets are the older versions with the yellow heads! Check it out soon! Don’t forget that the store closes July1- July 19 for summer vacation. May 14th, 2009Hello ya’ll! Today I’ve bought some good things. Tons of really nice Groovy Girl stuff, Kid K’nex, Toots the Train, Mega Bloks, and a really cool Superman Laptop Advance. Also got a kid’s pop up tunnel, something that doesn’t come in very often. Will likely get 1-2 more bags of bulk lego out today..and probably 3-4 more bags of lego men.

progress of children born with special challenges. Toys can be
useful tools in strengthening hand motor skills, and developing
speech and hearing. Since the technology of electronic toys has become so advanced and inexpensive, it seems that it is almost impossible to
find the good “old fashioned” toys that require greater use of the hands, body and voice. Anna’s Toy Depot online catalog offers many of the traditional toys that help to strengthen the hands and build coordination. Some of the toys offered encourage children to use

Sand Tray Play
May 13th, 2009Okay..this is the fun stuff. I really enjoy finding figures and figurines that will be used in sand play. Check out the extensive line of people figurines and the landscape and religious symbols. Sometimes I will put really cool “lots” of sand tray figures on my site Anna’s Toy Depot for sale. I really try to keep the sandplay toys affordable so that those using sand play therapy in their practice have a vast array of choices in their playroom! I have exhibited at the Sandplay Therapists of America regional conference and I sell many miniatures and figurines to sandplay therapists worldwide.
